Greece and Egypt Combination Bible Tour
15 - 24 September 2025
About This Trip
Walk in the footsteps of the saints, apostles, and early church fathers on this extraordinary 10-day Orthodox pilgrimage through Greece and Egypt — two lands where ancient faith took deep root and the story of Christianity lives on in stone, scripture, and sacrament.
Beginning in Greece, the cradle of early Christian thought and Orthodox theology, you'll explore sacred sites that shaped the Apostolic Church. From the Areopagus in Athens, where the Apostle Paul boldly preached Christ (Acts 17:22-34), to the quiet monastic cliffs of Meteora, this pilgrimage offers moments of spiritual awe, reflection, and connection with the saints who carried the Gospel to the ancient world.
You’ll then fly to Egypt, a land where the Holy Family sought refuge (Matthew 2:13-15), where desert fathers birthed monasticism, and where Orthodox tradition still burns brightly through centuries of devotion. Pilgrims will visit the Coptic Orthodox churches of Old Cairo, venerate in the Monastery of St. Macarius, and ascend Mount Sinai, where Moses received the Ten Commandments — a place that continues to speak to the soul in silence.
This is not just a tour. It’s a sacred experience, prayerfully designed for Orthodox believers who seek to encounter the living faith through Scripture, history, and community.
Biblical Depth & Orthodox Spirituality
This journey is grounded in Scripture, infused with Orthodox tradition, and led with a pastoral heart. You won’t just visit holy places — you’ll pray, reflect, and celebrate the Divine Liturgy in some of them.
Authentic Sites of Christian Heritage
You will visit key biblical and early church locations:
Areopagus, Athens – where Paul preached
Philippi – site of Paul’s imprisonment and the first European church (Acts 16)
Monastery of St. Stephen, Meteora – a mountaintop witness to centuries of faith
Old Cairo’s Hanging Church – built over the Holy Family’s refuge
Mount Sinai & St. Catherine’s Monastery – a sacred convergence of Christian and Old Testament history
Guided by Orthodox Perspective
The itinerary is crafted with attention to Orthodox liturgical life, theology, and historical memory — not simply sightseeing. Your guides understand the faith, not just the facts.
Deep Cultural Experience
From the monastic chants echoing in Greece’s ancient churches to the vibrant iconography of Coptic Egypt, every moment invites you to engage with the living culture of Orthodoxy in its original settings.
